I’m excited to let you know that we’re reaching many milestones this summer. If you’re visiting the hospital or are on our hospital campus, take a moment to look up at the top of our new wing. Construction has started on its new fourth story. When completed, this vertical expansion and build-out of our third floor will bring another 90 new private patient rooms to our community as we move forward to meet the state’s new seismic standards for earthquake-ready hospital buildings.

In the beginning of July, we’ll celebrate the first year anniversary of the opening of our Level II Trauma Center - the first Trauma Center to open in Ventura County and the only Trauma Center in East Ventura County. We’re proud to offer the community access to a top-notch Trauma Team, available 24/7.

And speaking about our Emergency Department, I’d like to share with you that Los Robles Hospital is the only hospital in the state certified by both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties as a STEMI-designated heart attack center for rapid heart attack response. That means that our heart & cardiovascular team is waiting for you to arrive in the ER once we get the call from the paramedics in the field. So remember, please don’t drive to the ER. Call 911, if your loved one shows signs of a heart attack.
