Policies for our visitors
This information is designed to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about our visitor policies.
What are the visiting hours at your hospital?
Our visiting hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Visiting hours may be extended for the following populations:
- Laboring mothers in our labor and delivery unit
- Hospice or palliative care patients
- Pediatric and NICU patients
- Special needs patients
Are there any visitation restrictions?
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
Does your facility offer virtual visitation?
If you are not feeling well or have symptoms of COVID or other winter illnesses, please stay home and get well. Our team works tirelessly to care for your loved one, and we ask that you visit via our virtual options, which include Zoom and Facetime. Patients testing positive or under investigation for COVID-19 may not have visitors.
What is the general visitor policy at your hospital?
Patients may have four visitors during our regular visiting hours. However, certain departments have certain restrictions, including:
- Coronary care unit (CCU) — Two visitors per patient.
- Emergency department — One visitor per patient. Minor patients may have both parents.
- Intensive care unit (ICU) — Two visitors per patient.
- Outpatient surgical unit (OPSU) — One visitor per patient. Minor patients may have both parents.
What is your facility's smoking policy?
Our facility is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking and tobacco use are not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds, including outdoor areas and parking lots. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy environment.

Accessibility Services (ADA Accommodations)
We strive to make our facility accessible to all visitors. Wheelchairs are available to those needing assistance, and all public areas are designed for accessibility. If you need accommodations, please speak with a staff member.
Parking
On our main campus, please utilize our parking structure for your parking needs. For our other locations, we have designated parking lots that are accessible to all patients and visitors. This includes our Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital, Los Robles Rehabilitation Hospital, Los Robles Imaging Center, Center for Advanced Wound Healing and Cardiovascular Institute.
Text updates during surgery
We offer surgical updates via text messaging for those that have loved ones in surgery. Using this service, you will receive updates on the status of their progress all on your phone.
Sending a patient an email message
Our Auxiliary Department can deliver your message right to the patient's bedside. Just fill out the form below, include the patients full name and room number if you have it, and we will print and deliver your email. All email messages will be delivered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm. (Pacific Standard), except holidays. If the patient has been discharged from the hospital upon receipt of the email, the email will not delivered or mailed.
Note: The emails are like postcards, so do not write anything that may be considered confidential.
